The initial days in 2010 were tough as being a new entrant in the Business it was difficult to convince new clients to place faith in their work as they did not have any portfolio of work at that time to show. They gradually built this portfolio by taking up piecemeal work of some larger project, but at the same time which was challenging to the developer team.

According to a recently released annual summation of the IT industry by NASSCOM, despite a global pandemic and initial uncertainty, the Industry registered an overall growth of 2.3 percent with revenues growing from $190bn last year to $194bn this year. An Experience to Remember-
The brief from the client was they required 25 Desktop Support Engineers having skill sets of having excellent knowledge and working experience of Microsoft Office, Router, WiFi, Lan and other desktop related issues, across 23 locations in India for a contract period of 3 months. The time frame to complete this assignment was NOW. The challenge for Cylsys was to ensure getting quality candidates matching the required skill sets and who were willing to join immediately for a contract period of 3 months. It is a very tough task to secure the services of someone in the IT domain for a temporary period and that too at such short notice. To compound issues most of the 23 locations were remote locations and were mostly on the outskirts of major cities and therefore required a long commute by the candidates from the mentioned cities.
The Delivery Team at Cylsys Software did a stupendous job by doing the following and completed this requirement in a record time of less than a month with all selected candidates joining all 23 locations on the given date and successfully completing their contract period with only appreciation from the client.
- Cylsys has a huge database of candidates across Skill sets in the IT domain. The Delivery team dug deep and could shortlist the majority of the candidates from the internal database itself. The rest were shortlisted through references and lastly the job portals.
- ATPL wanted Cylsys to conduct the Technical round at our end and only share Resumes of candidates shortlisted by the Technical team. So the internal Technical team of Cylsys Software held the technical round with all the shortlisted candidates and ensured that only quality candidates were selected and sent for Training & Orientation programme at the 23 locations before commencing duties.
- As the selected candidates would be on the payroll of Cylsys Software, the HR team did a fabulous job of collecting documents and doing reference checks of the selected candidates before issuing each of the 25 candidates their respective offer letters. And also following up with the candidates for getting the acceptance of the offers.
- The Delivery team micro managed the entire process and ensured that each selected candidate reached their respective location for the training at the stipulated date and time.
- For Candidates who were coming from other States, Cylsys had to also coordinate their Travel itinerary.
- With a couple of candidates falling ill during this contract tenure and unable to continue, the Delivery team ensured that the replacement candidates were on the job in the shortest possible time as they had kept Backup candidates on standby in anticipation of such a situation arising.
