It was due to the commitment and sheer hard work of our human resources and support of our dealer network, that Jumbo Roofings and Tiles has been able to establish a new industrial unit that focuses on production of their innovative fibre design board which has met with tremendous success in the market. The team is grateful for the support they have received from all stakeholders like the government, dealers, suppliers and most importantly the human resources who have made this entire journey of steady growth a memorable one.
The first milestone in this journey was setting up of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for production of roofing sheets in North-east India. Another milestone was establishing an enviable distribution network in entire Eastern India which has supported the company to become a leader in the roofing industry in its area. It has been the company’s goal since the inception of the company to launch new products that provide innovative solutions to fulfil the gap for roofing products in the market.
Through consistent hard work and focus on our goals, the team has brought about rapid growth in the company. One of the proudest moments in the journey so far is the fact that Jumbo Roofings and Tiles is the first ever company in North East India to manufacture Designer ceiling boards and coloured cement sheets, Fibre cement board, planks.

Jumbo’s environmentally friendly product is made using raw materials abundant in nature such as Silica using Solar Power, a renewable energy source. Their versatile fibre cement boards can be used for all conventional construction, hence cutting down on the environmental hazards. A key to a safer planet is through recycling, and the company takes utmost initiative to recycle all their waste. The water used in the manufacturing process is recycled and there is zero discharge. The water drawn from ground sources is entirely recharged back. The process waste is recycled online and used continuously ensuring no damage to the environment whatsoever.

While Ravi is accountable for nearly everything in the company, his main focus lies more on handling sales and marketing, finance and product development. In hardware market, products are mostly homogenous, making them difficult to distinguish from one another, therefore, since, he has established the company in 2010, he and his team have attempted to set Jumbo Roofings and Tiles apart from its competition by catering to the changing needs of contemporary architecture while using eco-friendly raw materials in the manufacturing of their dynamic product line.
The roofing market in Eastern India has a severe gap in supply and demand due to outdated practices and deprivation in supply. The company’s attempt has always been to fulfil this gap through innovative and sustainable means as they believe it is important to fulfil the larger role in the community by satisfying these needs.

One is remunerated in the form of self-satisfaction when they see their company flourish under their guidance and through their efforts.
I would also advice young entrepreneurs to not set a limit for themselves and be satisfied once they believe they have reached it; there is always more room to grow and greater heights to reach. They mustn’t let themselves be satisfied by the status quo, but they must constantly set their goals and benchmark higher than the existing players and do their very best at every step to produce comprehensive solutions to real-world market problems by drawing inspiration from the best practices from the world over and putting them together in an original manner.”
