- Kindly share the vision and mission of the Little Einsteins Preschool.
Little Einsteins aims to provide a broad and balanced international curriculum that supports individual needs and allows students to achieve their full potential.
We work to offer a rich and stimulating learning environment that fosters students’ natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge, enabling them to acquire the necessary life skills to function confidently and effectively in a rapidly changing world. Our vision is to create a caring community in which students learn to value themselves, others, and the environment.
In our schools, we recognize that by teaching for understanding, our students are encouraged to problem-solve, hone their skills, and develop their individual strengths. Since we understand that every child learns in many ways and each has his own interests and needs, we provide children with multiple access or entry points to a concept through their different intelligence or “smarts”.
The mission is to ensure that education is specific to a child’s need where the emphasis is on how to learn; as we say “The genius is within.”
- What according to you are the challenges in the Education Sector in India?
The current challenge in the education sector is the adaptation of technology. Experienced and educated teachers are hesitant to adopt technology and use it in everyday classrooms and this is where Little Einstein’s Teacher Training helps resolve the problem. We train our teachers in using modern technology for usage in the classroom and make the sessions fun and learning. We also ensure that the teachers are given world-class training using Microsoft’s Education tools and the 21st-century learning design rubrics.
- Please share the latest technology that the Little Einsteins Preschool is utilizing to offer better learning solutions.
Little Einsteins invested in world-class technology and our classrooms are a hybrid blend. We have digital worksheets and i-class which is a cutting-edge classroom tool that incorporates interactive presentations and visual and learning aids. There are fun digital escape rooms to get the young learners to activate their problem-solving mindset
- What are the key attributes that helped Little Einsteins Preschool to overcome the challenges in its initial phase?
As Little Einsteins started franchising, we realized we needed to have some key factors to help us in our expansion –
- We always ensure our partners are equally passionate about education as we are. Our franchise owners are required to undergo teacher training as well to understand our pedagogy
- We prefer our teachers to be mothers who know how to pick up the cues from a child and handle situations that they might have experienced.
- We ensure that all our centers get a quicker breakeven and profitability and that’s why unlike other preschool chains we do not have flashy toys or huge playgrounds, but we focus more on the quality of teachers and learning aids
- We work on our curriculum to provide cutting-edge technology and pedagogy for our young learners. These have all helped us expand and gain popularity amongst parents and franchisees.
- What are the benefits gained by parents and franchisees while choosing to be a part of the Little Einsteins Preschool family?
Some major initiatives that we are proud of that help both parents and franchisees are:
- MIMS – Minimum Interference and Maximum Support model for our franchisees. This has helped our franchisees grow leaps and bounds as the franchise owners are able to bring their creativity to their centers.
- 4Cs of 21st-century skills – Little Einstein’s initiative of developing the 4Cs for 21st-century skills has enhanced student engagement at centers. Creativity, Critical thinking, collaboration, and communication are deeply integrated with the lesson plans to ensure world-class learning.
- Coding for preschoolers – Little Einsteins were the pioneers to introduce coding as a mandatory subject in preschool after receiving a tremendous response on launching it in the USA, Finland, and Estonia. Kids develop the 4 Cs of 21st-century skills through coding
- Foundation School – Thankfully to the NEP, Little Einsteins has now transformed into a foundation school, where learning begins from 2 to 7 years of age group. We also launched a Hindi app to promote the language to all our learners worldwide.
- SDG focus – Ensuring our students are global citizens and getting global education, understanding of Sustainability Development Goals help their awareness and contribution to the global causes worldwide.
- Blended Teaching – Little Einsteins introduced a blended teaching methodology just at the right time to ensure uninterrupted learning during the pandemic. Our offline and online curriculum ensures the use of tried and tested digital tools from around the world.
The future plans of our preschool are to continue our pursuit of bringing the best experiences from around the globe to our students. We focus this year on enabling our teachers with knowledge of technology and integrating ICT in all subjects.
