Following is an interview between The Business Fame and Shonell Thakker is the Co-founder of Diquery
- Being a successful business leader, what difficulties and challenges do you face? What keeps
Are you motivated?
– One major challenge is that, unlike traditional media, not everyone fully understands the platforms and terminology used in digital marketing. At Diquery, our goal is to create concepts that are easily understandable for everyone. I work closely with the team and the business, but my main focus is on educating people about what we do and guiding them towards a result-driven understanding of the digital world. One of the toughest obstacles I’ve faced is convincing people that simple is often better. People tend to be drawn to flashy marketing techniques without fully understanding the benefits they’re giving up by choosing a simpler solution. Convincing people that something simple is wonderful was one of the hardest things I had to do. The huge realm of marketing tricks captivates people. They have no idea what they are losing out on by ignoring a more straightforward solution.
- Brief us about the CEO/Founder of the company.
– Well, I’ve never really tried to fit myself into a certain mold. Instead, I’ve allowed myself to adapt to the situations I’ve been presented with. I approached my career in a very non- linear manner that gave me diverse growth opportunities in a short time. After nearly a decade and a half of being a marketer and working for brands like Disney UTV, 20th Century Fox, and Excel Home Entertainment, among others, gave me an opportunity to explore the newer possibilities and develop diverse skill sets. It has also taught me to adapt to different work cultures and requirements.
- What are the different products and services offered by the Company?
– As Diquery celebrates a decade in the digital marketing industry, new and exciting developments await our clients. These include the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for personalized campaigns, virtual and augmented reality for immersive marketing experiences, voice search and smart home devices affecting SEO and content creation, the continued evolution of social media platforms and tools, and the growing use of data analytics for informed marketing decisions. Diquery is committed to staying ahead of industry changes and helping clients succeed in the digital space. Our milestones include an early client, Yahoo, who is with us even today, and a recent expansion into NFT and Metaverse projects. The support of my team, partners, and family has been the driving force behind my entrepreneurial journey.

- Tell us about the notable milestones in the company’s journey.

During COVID, we got an opportunity to get into Web3 development and marketing and we successfully managed 5 projects within the ecosystem. We also have brands coming to us for bridging the gaps that their existing associations which makes us an integral part of their milestone achievements.
- How do you motivate your team to be innovative and productive at work?
Creating a collaborative and communicative environment for my team is one of the finest methods to inspire them to think creatively and productively at work. This entails fostering an open environment where team members are free to share their thoughts, pose inquiries, and provide solutions. For their dedication and creativity, employees should be honored and rewarded. These can include appreciation for a job well done, such as time off, or special presents. Furthermore, expressing to the team the significance of their work and the worth of their contributions helps boost motivation.
- What are your future plans for the company? Where do you see the company in the years to Come?
– The marketing industry is changing, and the industry as a whole will welcome diversity, both in terms of people’s identities and skill sets, and in terms of establishing inclusive practices that foster growth. The marketing sector is seeing a wave of transformation on all fronts to shape it to be future-relevant.
- What is your advice to the budding and aspiring entrepreneurs?
– Option 1– For aspiring entrepreneurs to succeed and develop, mentoring is essential. A mentor may help entrepreneurs avoid mistakes, make wise decisions, and accomplish their goals more quickly and effectively by offering their experience, knowledge, and support. A mentor can also provide valuable networks and contacts that can open up new opportunities and support business success.
Option 2:- If you plan to start a business, treat it as if it were a family member. I’ve seen a lot of women entrepreneurs give up on their dreams because either they were unable to ask for funds, were unable to garner the support and respect they needed from their own families, or were unable to prioritize their business. Don’t be discouraged by what you see outside. Finally, don’t be hesitant to experiment with new ideas.
