In Candid Conversation with TBF, Hemant Ghale is the Director of vConnect iDees have shared some insightful views about their company.
Q. First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
With God’s grace, we are completely fine and healthy. We are trying to cope up with life as it has changed a lot and we have to accustom to it.
Q. Briefly tell us about the company. Tell us about you, your career, how you founded vConnect iDees?
This is not a motivational piece that goes, If you’re a salesperson today, and you have the drive to learn more, the will to work hard, and the tenacity to move past failures, “Every salesperson today can be a CEO tomorrow.” Hemant Ghale started his career by cold calling at Zensar Technologies, selling VoIP service. He then joined an IT Consulting company as Inside Sales Executive and sold software products and services in the United States. He eventually started vConnect iDees in the year 2019 and Heads the Sales, Marketing, and Strategy functions at vConnect iDees, working with new and existing clients to understand their requirements and map how those needs can be addressed.
Q. Mention what you think I could do better as the CEO of my vConnect iDees?
Tell your employees that your door is always open, that you want to hear their honest feedback. Develop the skills of an employee by utilizing the talents of the employees you already have. What are the best strategies you use to motivate a team?- Every team member has their work styles, personalities, and performance levels, meaning how they respond to motivation also differs. So, one approach for all will surely not help. That’s why you can simply tell them that “I will conduct the regular meeting and find out the hidden potential of the team members.”
Q. As the CEO how do you react to problems?
Responding to a problem haphazardly may cause a panic situation and make the problem worse. Accepts the situation gracefully and then focuses on a problem. It will help to find the solution.
Q. Kindly share your opinion on the Industry?
There are many IT startups in India and overseas, who get closures mostly through references. But sales can not always rely on references or word of mouth marketing, you need to have an aggressive marketing and sales team to grow your business. However these companies do not hire in house sales teams for multiple reasons. Sometimes it’s the budget constraint, lack of confidence in the team or no bandwidth to manage the inhouse team members. But when you outsource the process, you do not have to worry about training, logistics, compliance or micro managing the team etc. Not to mention there is no fear of non performance, if the agency doesn’t deliver you cancel the contract right away, which you can not do with the inhouse team.
Q. Kindly brief us about the most satisfactory experience with a client.?
What kind of game changing services have you provided to them? One of our Bangalore based Clients reached out to us for Lead generation service even before they launched their Camera AI product. As a result the very second month they signed a POC of INR 35,00,000/- with one of the big names in India.
Q. With cut-throat competition and everyday evolution, how does the company face new as well as prominent competitors?
We Study the market and try to know everything we can about other players in your industry. We don’t want to be caught off guard by a rival’s new idea, and we don’t want to always be on the defensive against what the competition is up to.
Q. Share with us challenges faced by companies in the industry.
Uncertainty about the leads, Monitoring performance, Regulation and compliance, Competencies and recruiting the right talent, Exploding data etc.
Q. What lies ahead of the vConnect iDees in the future?
The future ain’t what it used to be. Tomorrow remains a mystery. We can make plans, make predictions, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. We try to maintain a positive attitude rather than an outlook of impending doom. The future looks brightest for those who look for the bright side.
